About the role

This position is critical for successful livestock operations; it works a 5/2 roster. The position is responsible for daily operations across incoming and outgoing cattle movements through leadership of the induction team.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for team delivery of desired daily outcomes
• Overseeing daily supervision of all aspects of cattle induction and dispatch
• Preparation of incoming cattle paperwork
• Understanding and applying animal welfare standards
• Manage cattle to meet standards and quality for their respective feeding programs

Education / Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in intensive livestock management systems with an understanding of animal welfare and performance outcomes
• Demonstrated computer literacy in Excel, Word and Outlook
• Responds calmly in difficult situations maintaining a strong customer service focus
• Exceptional ability to prioritise and multi-skill
• Excellent attention to detail
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
• Must be energetic, passionate and enthusiastic with a demonstrated focus on system improvement
