Our client is a leading global integrated supply chain manager, processor and grower of agricultural products and food ingredients, supplying various products across 16 platforms to over 13,000 customers worldwide. With a direct presence in more than 65 countries with sourcing and processing in most major producing countries, our client has built a global leadership position in many of its businesses. In Australia & New Zealand, we operate in multiple products including coca, dairy, and almonds.
About the role
The purpose of this role is to establish and supervise the machinery maintenance programs and procedures on equipment to achieve long-term sustainability of the plant.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records regarding service requirements on maintained and non-maintained operating lease equipment providers
- Maintain successful working relationships with contractors and suppliers
- Develop and maintain a culture of safe behaviour
- Seek productivity gains and innovations that lead to improved equipment reliability
Requirements
Education / Experience / Skills
- Experience within the food industry preferred but not essential. Good understanding of processes
- Solid mechanical maintenance experience within the food manufacturing industry is key
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and a range of mechanical equipment, coupled with fabrication skills would ensure you hit the ground running
- Qualifications Mechanical Engineering (fitter and turner) or metal fabrication
