About the role

The purpose of this role is to establish and supervise the machinery maintenance programs and procedures on equipment to achieve long-term sustainability of the plant.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records regarding service requirements on maintained and non-maintained operating lease equipment providers
• Maintain successful working relationships with contractors and suppliers
• Develop and maintain a culture of safe behaviour
• Seek productivity gains and innovations that lead to improved equipment reliability

Education / Experience / Skills

• Experience within the food industry preferred but not essential. Good understanding of processes
• Solid mechanical maintenance experience within the food manufacturing industry is key
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and a range of mechanical equipment, coupled with fabrication skills would ensure you hit the ground running
• Qualifications Mechanical Engineering (fitter and turner) or metal fabrication
