Our client is one of Australia’s leading broad acre seed breeding companies.

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer you will be primarily responsible for sales and marketing of the company’s variety portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Building strong relationships with advisors, current and potential growers, industry influencers and distribution partners
• Wheat and barley product promotion, positioning and sales in target areas
• Manage the seed release of new varieties with distribution
• Undertake research and development to improve/sustain market share of varieties
• Manage seed and market development production crops where required
• Representing company at relevant industry forums
• Regularly completing business forecast projections
• Assessment, analysis and reporting of accurate market intelligence
• Ensure that all work-related activities are carried out in a manner consistent with the company’s values and procedures

Education / Experience / Skills

You will be self-motivated, reliable, capable of working unsupervised with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills. Tertiary qualifications in agriculture, complemented by a comprehensive understanding of broad-acre cropping systems and the capacity to negotiate at all levels of the supply chain are essential.

You will have a successful and proven track record in a relevant position and have the ability to drive and take ownership of the business territory.
