Short Description: New machinery purchases needing a new in-field Operations Manager to help drive a dynamic cropping and livestock enterprise as they continue to build their team.

About the role
Help drive a growing team and assume a senior role in collaboration with the Farm Manager on an 14,000-hectare aggregation, conveniently located just 15 minutes from Goondiwindi. This mid-management role is created with the expectation that you will be in-field, learn the farm and you will progress within overall operations.

You will get your hands on multiple pieces of brand new equipment including New Holland tractors and Goldacres G6 Crop Cruiser.

They have a young, enthusiastic team and aim to create an enjoyable work environment. The company seeks highly motivated, upfront, and collaborative individuals.

You’ll experience a variety of tasks with winter and summer cropping, as well as cattle operations. This position involves organising and executing all irrigation and cropping activities to a high standard.

Responsibilities
• Oversee all Farm Operations in the absence of the Manager.
• Operating farm machinery, including but not limited to tasks associated with spraying, paddock preparation, planting, spreading, harvesting, as well as cattle work.
• Operate all new machinery integrated with farm management software.
• Perform general farm maintenance and irrigation.
• Collaborate effectively within a team, embrace new responsibilities, contribute positively, maintain a safe work environment, and ensure timely completion of tasks.

Requirements

Education / Experience / Skills
• Must be collaborative, teachable, and a team player.
• Experience with multi-functional machinery in irrigation and dryland cropping.
• Cattle experience (desirable).
• Licences: Drivers (essential), Truck (desirable), Chemcert (essential).

Remuneration and Location
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience, 50-hour workweek, overtime or time off in-lieu.
• Comprehensive farm package includes work vehicle, power and phone allowance, and on-farm accommodation (with the option to reside in town)
• Location: Goondiwindi, QLD (15 km)
