We are a leading onion and potato producer supplying major Australian processors and retailers, supported by modern packhouse operations and a strong commitment to food safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

About the role

We’re seeking an experienced QA Supervisor to lead quality control and compliance across our onion packing operations. This key role ensures all product meets specification, customer, and certification standards while maintaining HACCP, Freshcare, and GlobalGAP compliance. Working closely with the Packhouse Manager, you’ll supervise QA staff, perform inspections, manage records, and drive a proactive culture of quality and food safety.

Main Responsibilities

• Oversee daily QA checks on onion grading, packing, and labelling lines.
• Maintain HACCP, Freshcare, and GlobalGAP compliance across all packhouse activities.
• Lead and train QA staff to ensure high food-safety and hygiene standards.
• Record, report, and investigate quality issues, implementing corrective actions.
• Prepare audit and compliance documentation for internal and external inspections.
Collaborate with production and maintenance

Requirements

About You

You’re detail-oriented, organised, and passionate about maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment. You lead by example and take pride in helping your team produce safe, consistent, high-quality produce.
• Experience in food manufacturing or fresh produce QA/QC.
• Sound knowledge of HACCP, Freshcare, and/or GlobalGAP systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping discipline.
• Leadership experience within a production or packhouse setting.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Certificate or Diploma in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or Agriculture
