Our client is a family-owned business operating from Western Australia since 2009, manufacturing rock crushing solutions tailored to the unique challenges faced by Australia’s agricultural, transport, civil and mining industries.
About the role
The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of machinery design and fabrication — from initial design concepts through to build, testing, documentation, and delivery. This role plays a critical part in managing all relationships with local and international manufacturing and fabrication partners, ensuring projects are delivered to specification, within budget, and on time. This is initially a fixed term contract (12 months) with possible opportunity to extend.
Main Responsibilities

• Manage the build, fabrication, and assembly of custom-designed machinery from concept to delivery.
• Manage relationships with all existing, new, and potential fabrication and manufacturing partners, both locally and internationally.
• Maintain control of all technical and design documentation to ensure IP integrity and compliance with company standards.
• Operate as part of the senior leadership team, providing independent engineering and commercial input to strategic decisions.
Requirements
Education / Experience / Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management for machinery, fabrication, or custom-engineered products.
• Demonstrated capability in managing design-to-build projects across machining, fabrication, and assembly.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, design control, and fabrication workflows.
• Experience in managing supplier and partner relationships, including contract negotiation and performance oversight.
• Proven ability to identify and address operational or commercial issues before they escalate.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to operate autonomously under senior leadership direction.
• Willingness to travel.
