About the Company
Our client is a 15,500Ha farming enterprise located near Murrayville, VIC. The farm utilises latest technology, farming practices and John Deer equipment.
About the role
Reporting to the owners, the Cropping Manager will lead and continuously improve all cropping operations, combining strategic planning with hands-on management. Reporting to the owner, this mid- to senior-level role is responsible for profitability, productivity, safety, and quality of the broadacre cropping program (wheat, Barley, Canola, Lentils, Lupins and other winter crops).
Main Responsibilities

• Assist with crop planning and agronomy including rotations, fertiliser, pest/disease management
• Oversee and participate in sowing, spraying, and harvesting operations.
• Operate and maintain machinery including harvesters, tractors, sprayers, and trucks
• Lead, supervise, and coordinate staff and contractors during busy seasons
• Manage logistics including grain cartage, storage, and delivery
• Ensure WHS compliance and chemical record-keeping
• Maintain cropping infrastructure and contribute to whole-farm program
• Keep accurate records and provide reports to the owner
Education / Experience / Skills
• 5+ years’ broadacre cropping experience
• Proficiency in John Deer harvesters, tractors, sprayers, and truck operation
• Strong mechanical aptitude for maintenance and troubleshooting
• Leadership and communication skills to manage staff and liaise with owner
• Current valid manual Driver’s License
• Heavy Rigid (HR) license, Heavy Combination (HC) highly desirable
• Chemical User Certification (ChemCert or ACUP – Victoria) desirable
