Murranji Station, part of the respected Oldfield Group, is seeking a motivated and hands-on Station Hand / All-Rounder to join its Northern Territory operations. If you enjoy outdoor work, take pride in getting the job done, and want to experience real outback life — this is the role for you.
About the role
• This is a casual position paid on a daily-rate basis, with payments processed fortnightly
• As a casual employee, no annual leave or personal (sick) leave entitlements accrue
• The role offers diverse station duties, including stock work, property maintenance, mechanical support, and fencing
• A three-month probationary period applies, with potential transition to full-time employment for high performers at the manager’s discretion
Key Duties
• Assist with livestock handling, feeding, and paddock work
• Perform general maintenance: mowing, sprinkler moves and fencing repairs
• Operate tractors, quads, and utilities safely and responsibly
• Assist with machinery servicing and repairs under supervision
• Support fire management, land care, and daily operational activities
• Work collaboratively within a small, remote team environment
Requirements
What You’ll Bring
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Reliability and ability to work in a team
• Physical fitness for outdoor, hands-on work in a remote setting
• Driver’s licence (manual preferred)
• Previous station or farm experience an advantage but not essential
Pay & Benefits
• Daily rate: $205 – $300 depending on skills and experience
• Paid fortnightly
• Accommodation and meals provided on-station
• Superannuation in line with Australian legislation
• Travel assistance may be offered depending on candidate location
• Casual position – no annual or sick leave entitlements accrue
