About the Company

Our client is a leading independent supplier of rural services across the East Coast states of Australia. They have a full-service team providing a large range of farm inputs, products and technical advice to a wide range of farming clients.

About the role

The role is responsible for providing agronomy services to new and existing clients to achieve objectives, profitable growth as well as collaborating and aligning with the business to achieve targets. These targets include (but not limited to) fee for service, sales, expense management, client and end user engagement, market share improvements and development of trainee Agronomists.

Main Responsibilities
(must be demonstrated in your application letter/resume)

• Development and implementation of agronomy business plan and individual customer management plan (including measures to evaluate results)
• Customer Recording System – quality of records, actions and follow up
• Active role in the development of Trainee Agronomists
• Full compliance with internal and external standards
• Provide a monthly update to Field Service Manager & Branch Manager (where applicable)
• WHS – identification/reporting of all hazards/risks within the workplace, hazard checklist and risk assessments/register, internal audits

Requirements

Education / Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Agricultural Science (or equivalent) and/or extensive industry experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an agronomist involved in making recommendations on pest, disease and weed management
• Demonstrated ability to develop agronomy business plans and customer management plans including successful execution
• Drive for Results – sets high standards for performance for self and team peers
