About the Company
Nerrin Nerrin Pty Ltd is a 10,000-acre mixed farming operation near Streatham in western Victoria, running 2,300ha of wheat, canola and faba beans plus a 10,000-head sheep flock.
About the role
They’re after a Cropping Overseer to take charge of day-to-day cropping operations, working closely with and reporting directly to the owner — this is a hands-on role with real autonomy, and sheep work is minimal.
Main Responsibilities
(must be demonstrated in your application letter/resume)
• Overseeing sowing, spraying and harvesting operations
• Running and maintaining harvesters, tractors, sprayers and trucks
• Coordinating contractors and casual staff during busy seeding and harvest periods
• Managing grain cartage, storage and delivery logistics
• Keeping records and reporting straight to the owner — no middle management
• The occasional bit of sheep yard work — nothing full-time
Education / Experience / Skills
• 3+ years’ broadacre cropping experience
• Confidence running harvesters, tractors, sprayers and trucks
• Experience coordinating contractors or casual staff a strong plus
• Current driver’s licence; HR essential, HC highly regarded
• Comfortable working autonomously and liaising directly with the owner
